Lawsons go live with ADP Commercial Systems' K8 timber and builders merchant software

Leading UK Timber & Builders' Merchant Lawsons has 'gone live'' with K8, the business management software solution from ADP Commercial Systems.

'Big Bang' at 13 branches

Having previously implemented K8 into 3 subsidiary businesses within the Lawsons group, the decision was made to go 'big bang' across the 13 branches of Lawsons Timber Building & Fencing Merchants on the 30th June 2008. Jeremy Norris, IT Director at Lawsons explains "successfully implementing K8 within six months was underpinned by a huge commitment from all levels of management and staff at Lawsons, supported by the ADP implementation team".

Lawsons operates throughout the South East of England and had been using the KITE revision 7 solution from ADP Commercial Systems for some 9 years. Due to their successful business growth, a system review programme was put into place and Lawsons set about evaluating all of the ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) solutions in the market place for suitability with their business. After a thorough review process, the decision was made to continue its relationship with ADP Commercial Systems and migrate to K8.
