Raven Roofing invests in latest *Kerridge Commercial Systems K8 system

Raven Roofing Supplies, who have been users of *Kerridge Commercial Systems' systems since 2004, have recently placed an order to upgrade to the *Kerridge Commercial Systems' K8 system. The system will be implemented in their 5 branches across southern England commencing December 2009.

Raven MD, Mark Applebee said "our business has moved on considerably since we first installed the *Kerridge Commercial Systems' system. We have expanded with the opening of three new branches in Hawkhurst, Basingstoke and Swindon in addition to our initial two in Twickenham and Thatcham and the company has achieved excellent trading results throughout that period. However, we considered that it was time to look ahead, and our plans for further growth and expansion of our branch network called for a review of how our systems needed to develop to support our objectives. We had to make some key decisions about ensuring we have the right technology in place. I am in no doubt that the results of the past 5 years have been partly attributable to how well we have made use of the system and our partnership with *Kerridge Commercial Systems'. Without a doubt, we wouldn’t be where we are today without the *Kerridge Commercial Systems' system in place."

Mark continues, "Once we had taken the opportunity to evaluate the latest K8 system, it was a relatively straightforward decision to place the order. K8 will provide us with the flexibility that we need and the functional capability that is so important. By being truly scalable, we have a platform to support our expansion yet further. In the short term, I also believe that K8 will help us achieve greater operational efficiencies and deliver an even better service to our customers. Another key factor in the decision to upgrade to K8 was the speed and ease of the project. The timescale from making the initial agreement to full implementation was less than three months including training on both trading and accounts.

The latest K8 system being implemented at Raven Roofing will incorporate a new accounting suite, Print Manager, the *Kerridge Commercial Systems' electronic forms application (replacing the need for pre-printed continuous stationery forms) and the latest sales, purchasing and stock control modules. K8 also includes state-of-the-art business information and reporting tools including high level drill down capabilities.
