*Kerridge Commercial Systems User Day - Focus on Margin
1st March 2009: *Kerridge Commercial Systems has conducted its largest ever customer open day. The event theme of ‘Focus on Margin’ was designed to help customers achieve more value and benefit from their K8 system.
Ian Bendelow, General Manager, *Kerridge Commercial Systems said, “We appreciate that these are very challenging times for our customers and it is important that we work closely in partnership and support them as much as we can. Our customers have made long-term investments in their systems and I believe that we have a responsibility to help them use their investments as effectively as possible. The key is to help customers maintain and improve business profitability.“
In developing the ‘Focus on Margin’ event, *Kerridge Commercial Systems reviewed which aspects of its product and service portfolio, including the latest developments, would be most relevant to the customers and their business needs. The User Day programme, which comprised presentations and workshop sessions, were delivered by K8 consultants and specialists. The topics covered were:
- Business Intelligence -The latest and very effective K8 business intelligence tools showed how to extract ‘the pearls of wisdom’ information to support decision making and planning.
- Stock Management - The power of the latest K8 stock management facilities showed how to ensure that the correct breadth and depth of stock is carried. The session also covered how the changes in the K8 ordering capability could be used effecitvely.
- e-commerce - Demonstrated the latest K8 e-commerce module and the integration between the ‘shopping site’ customer interface and the K8 system.
- Document Management How to save time and money with the benefits of the latest document scanning, archive and retrieval functions.
- System Hosting
Highlighted the benefits of remote hosting of server and print services. These enable time, effort and money to be saved and allow staff to concentrate on running the business and servicing customers. - New accounting suite
The event was used to introduce a new and radical accounting suite for K8. In addition to a product presentation, delegates also enjoyed the opportunity of having a customer’s insight into how this new development as part of the latest K8 product was providing benefits for his business.
