Kerridge Commercial Systems and Logicom – more than a virtual partnership

Kerridge Commercial Systems, leading software provider to the tile and bathroom wholesale, merchant and distribution market place, is further strengthening its K8 software proposition by offering an interface to the Logicom product, Virtual Worlds.

(May 2005) Kerridge Commercial Systems has recently announced that they will be working together with Logicom, leading supplier of CAD (Computer Aided Design) solutions. Logicom’s virtual reality room planning software, Virtual Worlds, offers a flexible, easy to use CAD system for the design of Kitchens and Bathrooms and is used extensively by Builders Merchants and specialist Kitchen, Tile and Bathroom suppliers and designers.

Ian Bendelow, New Business Development Director, Kerridge Commercial Systems, says "we are pleased to have this co-operation agreement in place with Logicom. Given our large customer base in the Tile, Kitchen and Bathroom industries, we felt it time to co-operate with other complementary software suppliers to bring an even more 'joined up' IT solution to our customers. The interface between K8 and Logicom enables our mutual customers to build visually the bathroom or kitchen and then secure the order by electronically linking the CAD system to the stock management, quotation and pricing features of Kerridge Commercial Systems' K8. This can be achieved without any delays, re-keying and potential keying errors. Customer satisfaction, financial control and efficiency are delivered through our interface."

Logicom is a leading Virtual Reality Room-planning 3-D software specialist with over 1,000 professional customers in the UK. The 'Virtual Worlds' package revolutionises interior design and planning, producing a 'live' 3-D walkthrough. Customer's requirements can be instantly changed and visualised. Following years of effort, a special version with unprecedented design features was launched last year aimed at the tiling industry.
